MOBILE, Ala. - Operations continue being conducted by the drillship Discoverer Enterprise and the mobile offshore drilling unit Q4000 as well as thousands of other vessels and ships in support of oil containment operations in the Gulf of Mexico Sunday, June 13, 2010. More than 24,700 personnel are currently responding to protect the shoreline and wildlife and clean up vital coastlines. More than 5,500 vessels are responding on site, including skimmers, tugs, barges, and recovery vessels to assist in containment and cleanup effortsÑin addition to dozens of aircraft, remotely operated vehicles, and multiple mobile offshore drilling units.
