GULF OF ADEN - Members of the visit, board, search and seizure team assigned to USS Anzio (CG 68) and U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team 91104 secure the crew of a drug-smuggling vessel in the Gulf of Aden Oct. 15, 2009. The service members seized and disposed of more than two tons of illegal narcotics after boarding the vessel. Anzio is the flagship for Combined Task Force 151, a multinational task force established to conduct counter-piracy operations under a mission-based mandate to actively deter, disrupt and suppress piracy off the coast of Somalia.
